School fun in London and Shropshire

Two great days had by us in schools in London and Shropshire last week. Wonderful children and passionate staff helped to make our visits memorable… I think they liked us:

Dear Sue,

Thank you so much for the wonderful day you and Barry made for us when you performed at Lower Heath C. E. Primary School. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day from the youngest child to the oldest member of staff (me!). The children all enjoyed the opportunity to join in the songs and dances and were delighted to be able to play their recorders as an accompaniment to some of your music. Thank you so much for being so adaptable and making it possible for them to feel part of the music. The children remember the “Tudor” words that you taught them and were most impressed by your instruments; the crumhorn seemed to be a favourite! The staff also enjoyed the whole day and very much and appreciated the way that you kept the children’s attention, and your humour!

Once again, thank-you for a wonderful day.

Best Wishes,

Dian

Lovely sunny day at Grange Court

We have had a lovely sunny day at Grange Court in Leominster. A great atmosphere and lovely people. What a fabulous project too – the building looks great. I think they liked us!

Hi Sue,
Thank you so much for being part of our Family Day on Saturday. You really set the ambience and we have received some great feedback about you all. You were fantastic!

Polly Robinson – Heritage Development Officer, Grange Court

Let’s hope we can return some time!

Pheon Archery return to Hoghton Tower

Just returned from a great weekend at Hoghton Tower, Lancashire from our second have-a-go-archery weekend. Lovely visitors, if it did turn a tad damp n Monday! Hey ho – typical Bank Holiday weather. Hoghton is a fascinating property – check it out and visit!

Lostfest hits the spot

What a fab day we had at Lostfest in Lostwithiel, Cornwall. Great musicians all round, stalls, events around the town and much, much more! A really great festival to go to if you find yourself in Cornwall in May. Nice comments from the organisers too :

Very many thanks for helping to make this year’s LostFest such a success. Without so many performers giving so generously of their time, there would be no LostFest.

You will be pleased to hear that I had several folks who singled out your group for praise. I wish my duties had let me hear more of your performance.

D. Guiterman, Entertainment organiser.

Let’s hope we get to make a return trip next year! 🙂

Tudor days for Schools

Our Tudor Music and Dance schools package is proving popular. We will be visiting Surrey and Shropshire soon for full days of Tudor fun and frivolity. Should be good fun for all!

Getting ready for a busy summer!

Pheon Archery and Minstrels are gearing themselves up for a busy summer. Visits to Hoghton Tower, Faversham History Day, weddings in Worcester and Plymouth and archery at Powderham Castle are a few of the many places we are travelling to this summer. Can’t wait! Plus see us as usual at Tewkesbury Medieval Fair on 13th & 14th July. Let’s hope the weather is kinder this year!

Fab weekend at Speke Hall!

We had a great weekend at Speke Hall – even returning home with sunburn! Lovely visitors, resulting in the busiest day Speke have ever had! Glad to be part of it!

Visit our Facebook page Merrie Noyse Minstrels to see nice photos!

Badde Habyt hit Wolverhampton

Badde Habyt performed for the first time last night at The Clarendon Hotel Wolverhampton. A friendly crowd greeted us and we have been asked to return so must have done something right! Check out our Badde Habyt Facebook page for pictures 🙂
