Getting Baroque

We are working up an early and high baroque repertoire ready for next season. Many of our historic properties promote their baroque and rococco heritage and bringing music into these properties actually adds life and atmosphere. There are some lovely tunes and great composers for these periods, including Vivaldi, Telemann, Corelli, Handel and the Bach family.

More later, cheers

Reading Music

This year people have been asking about how we learn to read music. Merrie Noyse Medieval music book and our Tudor Noyse both use the traditional music stave and if you can read music, then they are easy to understand. But do we need to read music in order to play? Clearly the answer is no so what we are planning are audio files to go with the music books. Soon you will be able to log in through this Merrie Noyse site and download Merrie Noyse Medieval Music and Merrie Noyse Tudor Music  MP3 files of the pieces in each book.

Medieval Minstrels meet Tettenhall

Tettenhall Round Table hosted their 2014 ladies night with a medieval theme. We provided medieval music, song and dance. The response was fantastic and a great night of medieval music and dance went down well.

Richard and the other table members performed a medieval merriments to the delight of all.

Great summer, lovely autumn

What a great season! Performed at Sittingbourne for their first Mops fair in 300 years, a lovely party in Salisbury and to top it all performed for Evensong at Kings College Chapel! We love being medieval musicians!

Where has the time gone!

Wow! Cosmeston Medieval Fair, Church Stretton and Tewkesbury Medievals Festivals, a couple of weddings and a few schools too. A wonderfully busy few months. Plus, this summer saw the official launch of Badde Habyt, our new medieval inspired rock band! Check us out at www.baddehabyt.co.uk
