“Have a go” Sessions for all ages
The main aspect of our music making is enjoyment for all. When you book us or come along to an event you will feel that the music has life to it. Our music can be in the background and unobtrusive. However when it stops it is noticeable by its absence. We try to bridge the gaps with music and bring a good atmosphere to events and festivals.
The Sound Of History
Has the sound of the recorder, bagpipes, drum, shawm, renaissance guitar or gittern really changed that much over hundreds of years? The answer is no. Whilst there are subtle changes due to materials, the essential qualities probably remain fairly stable over time. What you hear in our music is living history.
Our SOUND OF HISTORY approach to the music helps us to keep the music clear and inviting. We are totally acoustic and even in larger halls or outside we find that the instruments speak well and are easily heard. The range of outdoor instruments we use can be heard as far as the longbow can fire.
