Lovely feedback for our Crescent and the Cross CD!

We had a fabulous day on 10th August at Abington Park Museum as part of History Needs You. Not only did we have fun, but we also sold CDs! One visitor kindly sent us some feedback:

” you had brilliantly incorporated not only your thrilling early music but birdsong, thunderstorms and a crowded tavern, and then on top of all that there were beautiful passages from Omar Khayyam’s The Rubaiyat…

..I find the whole tapestry of sounds on your CD so atmospheric, and think that your idea of putting the music in that crusader times  context vividly brings scenes to mind.

Wonderful Cornish Wedding!

A couple of weeks ago we spent a marvellous day at Trerice, a National Trust property near Newquay in Cornwall. Performing for Emily and Barnaby’s very special day was a joy! I think they liked us too “Dear Merrie Noyse Minstrels, Barney and I (and I think the whole wedding party) would like to say a really big thank you for Saturday. We could not have asked for a music group more suited to our tastes and hopes for our wedding. We have had so many lovely comments from our guests who thought that the teaming of you and Peterkin was wonderful. Some have even gone as far as to say it was the best wedding they had ever been to! For us, it was perfect and we loved meeting you! It is nice to know that you are not only great musicians but lovely people too. :)”

Peterkin the Jester was the icing on the cake – not literally I add! What a fab event it was! Here is to a long and happy marriage!

A fab year ends on a high well, several in fact!

What a fantastic year we have had! Many gigs new and old favourites, weddings, schools and Barry and I have had the great delight to be session musicians for fab folk duo Skinner & T’Witch (www.skinnerandtwitch.com) on two of their great numbers.

Well what a lovely, hot weekend we had at Tatton! Wonderful parkland, hall and festival. Great to see our friends Marinella again and many thank to Mike for the fantastic photos!
