Great summer, lovely autumn

What a great season! Performed at Sittingbourne for their first Mops fair in 300 years, a lovely party in Salisbury and to top it all performed for Evensong at Kings College Chapel! We love being medieval musicians!

Where has the time gone!

Wow! Cosmeston Medieval Fair, Church Stretton and Tewkesbury Medievals Festivals, a couple of weddings and a few schools too. A wonderfully busy few months. Plus, this summer saw the official launch of Badde Habyt, our new medieval inspired rock band! Check us out at www.baddehabyt.co.uk

Another great wedding….

Back in September we played at a lovely wedding at St Elizabeth’s House in Plympton near Plymouth. The lovely Louise and James, who also happen to be superb historic dancers invited us to be part of their special day…and very special it was too. Check out their dance group on our links page.

Next on the cards? A couple of gigs at Warwick Castle, then the annually brilliant Robin Hood Festival at Nottingham Castle and then Aston Hall by Candlelight with Diabolus in Musica. Bring it on!

Archery and the odd gig too!

Pheon have been busy offering fun have a go archery at Hartlebury  Castle nr. Kidderminster and The Commandery in Worcester. Only one more week to go so come along! Also, both Pheon and A Merrie Noyse will at The Commandery on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August, Bromyard Festival and Warwick Castle on 31st August. Phew…busy! Great, isn’t it!

A busy summer of Archery, Music and fun!

What a busy summer we have had so far. Great event in Kent for “Faversham in the Making” – a brilliantly organised and interesting event for all ages; Berkeley Castle Skirmish – an event buzzing with people, re-enactors, entertainers and traders and a full week of Have-a-go-Archery at Powderham Castle too – phew!

School fun in London and Shropshire

Two great days had by us in schools in London and Shropshire last week. Wonderful children and passionate staff helped to make our visits memorable… I think they liked us:

Dear Sue,

Thank you so much for the wonderful day you and Barry made for us when you performed at Lower Heath C. E. Primary School. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day from the youngest child to the oldest member of staff (me!). The children all enjoyed the opportunity to join in the songs and dances and were delighted to be able to play their recorders as an accompaniment to some of your music. Thank you so much for being so adaptable and making it possible for them to feel part of the music. The children remember the “Tudor” words that you taught them and were most impressed by your instruments; the crumhorn seemed to be a favourite! The staff also enjoyed the whole day and very much and appreciated the way that you kept the children’s attention, and your humour!

Once again, thank-you for a wonderful day.

Best Wishes,

Dian
