Barnet Medieval Festival is London’s only medieval festival of its kind and is dedicated to engaging people in the history of the Battle of Barnet and its significance within the Wars of the Roses. Fought on 14th April 1471, the Battle of Barnet saw Edward IV lead his Yorkist army to victory against the Lancastrian forces led by the Earl of Warwick.

The Festival team is delighted to confirm that this year’s Barnet Medieval Festival will take place on the weekend of 8th and 9th June 2024 at Barnet Elizabethans RFC, Byng Road, Chipping Barnet. We will be commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Barnet with a special programme of battle re-enactments, gunnery, archery display and talks, together with living history encampments, a medieval market and children’s activities.
